About Me

My name is Molly and music has always been part of my life in west central Minnesota. I've enjoyed performing on piano and violin since I was very young and playing the harp has felt natural to me since my first lesson at age thirteen. Within a year of starting, I was performing publicly and had composed my first harp arrangement (track #13 on this CD).

I've always wanted to record my music so I decided to create this album as a sort of recovery project after struggling with chronic health issues which began during my teenage years. I wanted to provide others with the kind of therapeutic harp music I wish was more available in 444hz tuning - calm and familiar, but with enough variety and interest to avoid monotony. The selection of hymns, Celtic, and classical tunes on this album are ones that I've been drawn to and thought would sound lovely on the harp. Giving myself the restful, creative space to refine old arrangements and create new ones has helped me regain some 'Equilibrium' in my life. I hope the result does the same for others as well.

444hz

Harp is already known for its therapeutic effect, but in the process of healing from my chronic health challenges, I’ve also discovered that tuning instruments differently allows them to reach frequencies (notes) that are more pure and resonant with things conducive to life, health and well-being. Tuning up slightly to 444hz is like ‘tuning in’ to a clearer ‘radio signal’ of life-giving frequencies as opposed to the noisy, confusing ‘signal’ that the modern standard of 440Hz produces.
